I've just learned of www.crimereports.com .... a great website that
no matter where you are in the U.S. you can put in an address or a zip code and see what kind of crime is happening in your neighborhood.
What a useful tool this could be when clients ask, "How's the Crime in this neighborhood?"
Just point them to the website!
It appeared that there was a place to also search for sex offenders.
They give you the option of signing up for e-mail notifications of crimes in a certain area. Of course I had to sign up and see how it worked!

This is great, Fran. No one likes to think about crime, but buyers ask all the time. I tell them to contact the police department and to look at the town stats. Thanks for sharing this.

Jeff,
First of all, thanks for stopping by........ and secondly it's my pleasure to share things like this.
Come back soon !
WOW I checked this out and it said there was a breaking and entering on my street on June 30. These types of tools are very helpful to keep us all aware of what's going on. Thanks!

Wonderful Tool! I already have a link on my site for the sex offenders, and I was looking for something like this! Thanx so much!
Great! Thanks for stopping by!
HI FRAN! Thanks for sharing. I think everyone should find out what's going on in the neighborhood, prior to purchasing. Sometimes we already know, but are unable to say, so I always suggest (with all my buyers) that they check out crime stats.
Again thanks and HAPPY SATURDAY!!
Happy Saturday back at you! Thanks for stopping by!
I just want to HAVE a neighborhood! It's amazing, people here do not want to come down on their prices. They'll let them sit until they are bulldoze material, or let them go back to the bank... driving around I see houses that I thought sold because they aren't on the MLS but they're FSBO or up and coming foreclosures. We make over double the median family income for the area, credit score over 800, 20% plus for down payment... and live in an apartment while houses sit empty, go into foreclosure, and fall down around us.
Hi there,
Well I don't know what area you live in so it difficult for me to address your problem. Some states are worse than others.
Perhaps if you could give a little more information on where you are looking (city and state) and what you mean by people not coming down on their prices (give me an example of an offer you have given and the price it was listed at) perhaps myself or someone here could give you some info.
Your credit score and your amount down sound fabulous..... please supply some additional information.
Thanks,

This looks like a good site to refer clients to. It is easy, and free - two things I like most.
Good deal Troy.......... glad you can put it to good use!
Great. Thanks for the site.
Great information. Thanks for sharing.
