Kansas City Millionaire Who Passed out $100 bills Dies

In December 1979, when my daughter was just 7 months old, I remember a story on the news about some Secret Santa person in Kansas City who was giving money to unexpecting individuals.  I thought "how cool!"  and went on to think about if I were wealthy I'd enjoy doing that.  Just to see the look on their faces when you hand them a hundred or two, just because.  (I like doing things just because :)

Today he passed away after a long battle with cancer.  But being the person he was, he trained four individuals to carry on his tradition.

Can you imagine keeping your identity a secret for for 27 years?

I jsut read this and thought it was an amazing story.  In this day and age of "look at me, look at me, Im giving away money!", this man was silent about it.  Cheers to him!

After reading this article I have to admit this is the most heartfelt story I have read in some time.  May God bless the four people Mr. Stewert has left to carry on his wonderful tradition.  Isen't it great that people as Larry were put here for special purposes in life.  Hummm, I think that goes for all of us, we just have to know what those talents are that we are to share with others too.  Thanks for sharing this with us!  Bob
