10 Most OVERPRICED Places to Live in the U.S.

10 Most Overpriced Places to Live in the U.S.
Forbes magazine took a look at what it considers the 10 most overpriced places in the United States.

If you were griping about the cost of anything, stop right now and be grateful you’re not paying the bills in one of these cities.

Forbes compiled this list by factoring in job-growth and cost-of-living rankings, and added to the mix a housing affordability index from research firm Moody's Economy.com and a salary index from Seattle-based compensation collection firm PayScale.

The result was 10 metropolitan areas with the "worst" combined scores. These cities have the highest cost of living, lowest salaries, least job growth, and least affordable housing.

And they are:
  1. Essex County, Mass., just north of Boston
  2. San Francisco
  3. San Jose, Calif.
  4. Honolulu
  5. New York City
  6. Cambridge, Mass.
  7. Tucson, Ariz.
  8. Oakland, Calif.
  9. Boston
  10. Los Angeles

Florida is nowhere to be seen on that list. Looks like the cake goes to Massachusetts and California!

Thank goodness Florida is not on this list.
